titleOfInvention Secondary ion mass spectrometer
abstract PURPOSE: To especially enable the quantitative analysis of a hardly volatile org. substance, by mounting a means for repeatedly irradiating the surface of a specimen with primary particles, a means for selecting a plurality of specific ions from among secondary ions to allow the same to be incident on a collector slit and a means for integrating and quantifying a current by said specific ions. n CONSTITUTION: Voltage is applied to an electrostatic deflection electrode 3 and a specimen 6 is inserted by a transfer apparatus 15 so as not to irradiate the specimen 6 with primary particles 2 and, only when the beams of primary particles 2 passed through a slit 5 by the electrode 3 and a deflection power source, the secondary ion 8 generated from the specimen 6 passes through a slit 9 and an earth slit 10 to be detected by a detector 12 and the signal thereof is displayed as a peak value by a data processor 13 and a recorder 14. For example, the proton-added ion of Bradykinin C 50 H 73 N 15 O 11 and the proton-added ion of vitamin B 12 are respectively irradiated for a definite time to generate two ions which are, in turn, integrated on the basis of a mass number and one of them is set as an internal standard substance to operate the ratio of both ions to enable highly accurate quantitative analysis. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
