PURPOSE: To produce the titled compound useful as a raw material of agricultural chemicals, pharmaceuticals, dyes and monomers of heat-resistant polymer, in high yield and purity, by cleaving allyl nitrophenyl ether with a base in the presence of a palladium catalyst and a trivalent phosphine compound. n CONSTITUTION: The objective compound can be produced by reacting allyl nitrophenyl ether with a base (e.g. methylamine) in an inert solvent in the pres ence of a heterogeneous palladium catalyst and a trivalent phosphine compound (e.g. triethylphosphine) at 20W200°C. The amount of the palladium catalyst is 1W10mol% (in terms of metal) (or 0.1W5mol% when used by supporting on a carrier) based on allyl nitrophenyl ether, that of the trivalent phosphine compound is 3W20mol per 1mol of the Pd catalyst and that of the base is 1W5mol per 1mol of the allyl nitrophenyl ether. n EFFECT: Especially, m-nitrophenol useful as a raw material for various fine chemicals can be produced at a low cost without using complicate process. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
