titleOfInvention Easily flowable powdery composition
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a fine powder composition having excellent flowability and handleability, by adding and dispersing microfibrillated cellulose to a medicine, cosmetic or food having high hygroscopicity. CONSTITUTION:The objective easily flowable powdery composition is produced by adding and dispersing microfibrillated cellulose to a highly hygroscopic medicine (e.g. ethambutol, theophylline, etc.), cosmetic or food (e.g. powdery milk, amino acid seasoning, etc.). The powder of a highly hygroscopic medicine, etc., is liable to cause the blocking or deliquescense by moisture absorption when left in air. Crystalline cellulose, etc., is used as an additive to improve the flowability and handleability of the powder, however, it has unagreeable taste and a large amount of the additive is necessary. MFC is a substance similar to crystalline cellulose and having remarkably improved moisture stabil ity and palatability.
