PURPOSE: To prevent the heat deterioration of a polymer and to improve the modifying effect in the modification of an engineering plastic with a butadiene- containing polymer to improve the notched impact strength, etc. by adding an antioxidant in a specified weight proportion. n CONSTITUTION: A butadiene-containing resin (A) such as a methyl methacrylate- butadiene-styrene resin or an ABS resin, an antioxidant (B) (e.g. 2,4-dimethyl-6- tert-butylphenol or lauryl stearyl thiodipropionate) in an amount of 3pts.wt. or more based on 100pts.wt. component A, and an engineering plastic (C) such as polyacetal, polycarbonate, polyethylene terephthalate or polybutylene terephthalate are mixed. Component B as an antioxidant can prevent heat deterioration of component A which is susceptible to heat deterioration, and can thereby improve the effect of modifying component C with component A. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
