abstract PURPOSE: To provide the title compsn. which scarcely emits smoke and halogen gas and has a specified melt flow rate after drying, consisting of a latex contg. no halogen, an org. fiber and an inorg. powder mainly composed of a hydrated inorg. material. n CONSTITUTION: 15W40wt% (on a resin or rubber basis) synthetic resin emulsion or synthetic rubber latex (A) contg. no halogen (e.g. acrylic emulsion), 0.1W15wt% org. fiber (B) (e.g. phenolic fiber) and 40W80wt% inorg. powder (C) composed of 60W90wt% hydrated inorg. material such as Al(OH) 3 or Mg(OH) 2 and 40W10wt% red phosphorus are blended together to obtain a flame spread inhibiting compsn. having a melt flow rate of 1.0 or below as measured according to JIS K-6760 (1981) after drying. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
