titleOfInvention Pigment dispersant
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the title pigment dispersant having excellent glossiness, fluidity, stability, etc., and useful for producing rotogravure ink, etc., by allowing polyester having a terminal carboxyl group to react with polyethylene glycol diamine. n CONSTITUTION: Polyethylene glycol diamine shown by formula I is allowed to react with polyester having a terminal carboxyl group to obtain the amine salt or amide. The polyethylene glycol diamine whose (n) is 4W15 is especially preferable and poly (12-hydroxystearic acid) is most suitable as the polyester. The obtained reaction product exhibits excellent effect as the dispersant when a fine pigment especially inorg. pigment having ≤20μm diameter is dispersed in a nonpolar org. liq. such as toluene. The amt. of the dispersant to be used is preferably resulated to 1W10%, based on the powder to be dispersed. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
