titleOfInvention Black diazo copying material
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a black diazo copying material high in image forming speed, unfadable by light and extremely high in light fastness by modifying the surface of a photosensitive paper material with a specified coupler. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer is formed on the surface modified layer made of a modified PVA resin having sodium benzenesulfonate groups in the molecule and contg. substantially no filler, and the photosensitive layer is composed of a diaznoium salt, at least one kind of a beta-naphthoic acid type couplers represented by formula (I), at least one amine type couplers represented by formula (II), and at least one of biphenol type represented by the formula (III). The couplers react with the diazonium compd. to produce an azo dye of black tone, and this dye is kept stable against oxidation by the action of the modified PVA resin having sodium benzenesulfonate in the molecule contained in the surface modified layer, thus permitting the obtained black tone diazo copying material capable of forming an image unfadable by UV rays, etc., and excellent in light fastness with high image forming speed.
