titleOfInvention Stabilization of water-soluble polymeric compound solution
abstract PURPOSE: To improve the stability of a water-soluble high polymer, particularly the stability (prevention of reduction in viscosity) in the presence of a transition metal salt at high temperatures, by incorporating a sulfenamide compound alone or together with thiourea (compound) as a stabilizer with the solution. n CONSTITUTION: (A) A sulfenamide compound, e.g. N-cyclohexyl-2-benzothia zolylsulfenamide or N-oxydiethylene-2-benzothiazolylsulfenamide alone or together with (B) thiourea or a derivative thereof, e.g. ethylenethiourea or guanylthiourea, in an amount of 0.001W10pts.wt., based on 100pts.wt. water-solu ble high polymer, as a stabilizer and incorporated with an aqueous solution consisting of the water-soluble high polymer, e.g. acrylamide (co)polymer or a partial hydrolyzate thereof, in 0.0001W20wt%, preferably 0.001W5wt% concen tration. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
