titleOfInvention Thermal transfer sheet
abstract PURPOSE:To enable a recorded image to have high light resistance to be prevented from being faded even if preserved for a long time, by a method wherein an ultraviolet light absorber or a light stabilizer is included in an acceptor layer. CONSTITUTION:Because a substrate sheet has a role of holding an acceptor layer and also is being headed during thermal transferring, it is preferable for the substrate sheet to have mechanical strength appropriate to be handled with no trouble even in a heated condition. Additionally, in the acceptor layer, either or both of an ultraviolet light absorber or/and a light stabilizer is/are contained. A benzotriazole series is suitable for the ultraviolet light absorber, for example, a compound shown by a general formula is more preferable. A light stabilizer of phosphate series or piperidine series is preferable for use as the light stabilizer. The acceptor layer can contain either the ultraviolet light absorber or the light stabilizer, but light resistance is more enhanced when containing both of them than when containing either of them.
