titleOfInvention Adjusting method for ph of waste water
abstract PURPOSE: To adjust the pH of weakly alkaline waste water to the pH regulated by the regulation for waste water conveniently and at low cost by blowing waste gas of a combustion furnace into alkaline waste water to decrease the hydrogen ion concn. of the waste water. n CONSTITUTION: Waste gas from combustion furnace is blown into alkaline waste water represented by boiler water and cooling water, etc. decreasing the hydrogen ion concn. of the waste water to adjust the ion concn. to a specified value. Namely, the pH is adjusted to 5.8W8.6. The necessary capacity for blowing the waste gas may be one realizing ≥1,400ppm alkali ion concn., but the capacity is necessarily adjusted depending on the pH of the waste water. The blowing of the waste gas into the waste water is preferred to be done by cooling the waste water to ≤40°C from the view point of the efficiency. Therefore, if the waste water is at higher temp., the waste gas is preferred to be blown after treating the waste water previously by a treatment causing dissipation of heat. Thus, the pH of weakly alkaline waste water is adjusted to the pH within values regulated by the regulation for waste water conveniently and at low cost. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
