abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a human antibody free from the contamination with a serum-originated antibody using a medium obtained by removing a component having adverse effect to the growth of cell from serum, by culturing a human antibody-producing cell in a medium containing serum treated with an ion exchange resin and treating the culture liquid with an ion exchange resin. n CONSTITUTION: A human antibody-producing cell is cultured in a medium for animal cell culture and containing a serum (e.g. equine serum) treated with an ion exchange resin (e.g. CM-Sepharose). The culture liquid is dialyzed with a phosphoric acid buffer solution and subjected to column chromatography using a column packed with an ion exchange resin. The protein adsorbed to the ion exchange resin is eluted with a phosphoric acid buffer solution to separate the produced human antibody. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
