abstract | PURPOSE: The titled additive that contains, as an active ingredient, a salt of a graft polymer resulting from reaction between lignin-sulfonic acid and (meth) acrylic acid in the presence of a polymerization initiator, thus improving slurry stability for a long period of time. n CONSTITUTION: The objective additive contains, as an active ingredient, a salt of graft polymer resulting from reaction of (A) lignin-sulfonic acid with (B) acrylic or methacrylic acid or a mixture thereof in the presence of a peroxide polymerization initiator. The amount of component A used is preferably 0.1W50 pts.wt. per 1pt.wt. of component B. The salt of the graft polymer is sodium, potassium, ammonium or lower amine salt.
