abstract | PURPOSE: A remedy for infectious diseases having a bacterium resistant to ampicillin as a prophlogistic bacterium, comprising 6#-bromopenicillanic acid, its ester or ester and ampicillin, its salt or ester as active ingredients. n CONSTITUTION: A remedy for infectious diseases comprising a compound shown by the formula I, its salt (e.g., Na salt, K salt, etc.), or its ester (e.g., methoxymethyl, etc.), and a compound shown by the formula II, its salt (e.g., Na salt, K salt, etc.) or ester (e.g., methoxymethyl, etc.) in a ratio of the former to the latter of 100:1W1:100, preferably 2:1W1:2 and, if necessary, an auxiliary, stabilizer, etc. Tablet, granule, capsule, suppository, injection, emulsion, etc., may be cited as the dosage form.
