abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a flexible gelatin roller having large recovery force, good solvent resistance and good water resistance, by adhering and applying a gelled substance based on gelatin and glycerine to the periphery of a roller core rod by a mold. n CONSTITUTION: A gelatin composition 8 melted by heating is injected in a casting mold 4, which was preheated by an electric heater 6 and of which the interior received honing processing, from an injection port 7 to fill the same. In this case, said composition 8 is prepared by a method wherein 100pts. of gelatin is dissolved in an almost equal amount of water and 10W20pts. of sugars are compounded with the resulting solution and 60W150pts. of glycerine is subsequently compounded therewith while the obtained mixture is mixed under stirring to form a molten mixture. Next, this composition is gradually cooled to 35°C or less and dried at lower temp. to adjust the moisture thereof to 25% or less to obtain a roller wherein a gelatin coating 9 with a predetermined composition is adhered and applied to a roller core rod 5 and an outer diameter dimension is uniform and operates without vibration. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
