titleOfInvention Sheet for detecting oil-component
abstract PURPOSE: To make possible the detection and measurement of the oil-component in gas or liquid with ease in any place by forming a titled sheet in such a manner that the sheet does not color in clean water and atm. and colors substantially only when the sheet is dipped in oil or stuck with the oil-component. n CONSTITUTION: The porous sheet is constituted by dispersing the pulverous powder of a dye which does not dissolve in water and colors by dissolving in oil or oil-component into liquid which does not dissolve the dye then impregnating the soln. in a carrier or coating the same together with a binder on the carrier to deposit the dyeon the carrier. The oil soluble dye which is selected from the group of monoazo in particular, is entirely insoluble in water, is extremely soluble in oil and is resistant to light and heat is particularly preferable. Filter paper is particularly preferable as the carrier. The binder, etc. which do not dissolve the dye may be added to the dispersion in order to improve the dispersibility of the pulverous powder and the deposition characteristic onto the carrier. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
