titleOfInvention Purification of carbonate compound
abstract PURPOSE: To remove the coloring components in a carbonate compound having ethylenic unsaturated group easily, and to obtain the titled compound useful as a raw material of polymers, in high purity, by contacting the carbonate compound with an inorganic adsorbent. n CONSTITUTION: A carbonate compound having high purity is produced by contacting (A) a carbonate compound having ethylenic unsaturated group selected from the allyl carbonate group of formula I or methallyl carbonate group of formula II [e.g. diethylene glycol bis(allyl carbonate)] with (B) 0.5W3wt% or more powdery inorganic adsorbent (especially preferably activated carbon, etc.) at 60W120°C preferably in an inert gas atmosphere, and separating the adsorbent by filtration, or by passing the unsaturated carbonate through a column packed with the adsorbent. n EFFECT: The contacting time can be shortened and the process is suitable for repeating the purification of the unsaturated carbonate. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
