titleOfInvention Electrode body for measuring ph and the like
abstract PURPOSE:To remove the adverse effect of an ion on the liquid in an electrode body, by covering the surface of a silver chloride film with an exchange film to prevent the elution of an ion to the outside. CONSTITUTION:A cation exchange film permits the transmission of a cation but inhibits the transmission of an anion in a usual state. An anion exchange film permits the transmission of an anion but inhibits the transmission of a cation in a usual state. The surface of the silver chloride film 2 adhered to a silver rod 1 is doubly covered with the anion exchange film 3 and the cation exchange film 4 or covered only with the exchange film 3 or the exchange film 4 to inhibit the elution of the silver ion and chloride ion dissolved on the surface of the film 2 to the outside or to inhibit the elution of at least the silver ion or the silver ion formed into a chloride complex to the outside. Therefore, the adverse effect of the ion on the liquid in an electrode body is excluded.
