titleOfInvention Belt
abstract PURPOSE:To enable a belt to be easily molded and to reduce the elongation of a belt, by using a resin compsn. obtd. by blending an inorg. reinforcing material with a polyamide elastomer formed from a polyamide and a polyoxytetramethylene. CONSTITUTION:A belt is obtd. by molding a resin compsn. obtd. by blending an inorg. reinforcing material with a polyamide elastomer composed of a hard segment consisting of a polyamide and a soft segment consisting of a polyoxytetramethylene. Examples of the polyamides used as the a hard segment are nylons 6, 6/6 and 12, among which nylon 12 is preferred. Examples of the polyoxytetramethylenes used as the soft segment are polytetramethyl glycol and polyoxy-tetramethylenediamine of the formula. Examples of the inorg. reinforcing materials are glass fiber, mica and potassium titanate whisker.
