abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a transparent electrical insulation material and excellent in electrical properties, by mixing and kneading a hydroxy group-containing liquid diene polymer with a polyisocyanate compound and a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon and curing the mixture. n CONSTITUTION: An electrical insulation material comprising a hydroxyl group- containing liquid diene polymer, a polyisocyanate compound and a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon. This material can be obtained by mixing and kneading the components at a predetermined mixing ratio and curing the mixture. By adding a petroleum resin to said components, the mechanical properties of the obtained electrical insulation material can be improved. As the polycyclic aromatic compounds, those of formulas I and II are desirable. In the formulas, R 1 WR 8 are each H or a lower alkyl and n is 1W3. As the polyisocyanate compounds, diphenylmethane diisocyanate and tolylene diisocyanate are desirable. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
