titleOfInvention Flexible article
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled article such as rubber hose or rubber joint with high heat and ozone resistance and weatherability by incorporating carbon black in a rubber component comprising organic rubber and specific polyorganosiloxane followed by curing and molding. n CONSTITUTION: The objective article can be obtained by incorporating (I) 100pts. wt. of a rubber comprising (A) an organic rubber with a Mooney viscosity 20W150 (e.g., ethylene-propylene are rubber) and (B) a polyorganosiloxane of formula (R and R' are each hydrocarbon substituent; n ≥100, pref. ≥2,000) with ≥6 (pref. 20W50)mol% of the substituents R and R' being such hydrocarbon substituent as to be ≥350 (pref. ≥700) in the Small's molecular attraction force constant (e.g., phenyl group) and 0.02W20mol% of the substituents being group having C=C bond in a weight ratio (A)/(B)=95/5W0/100 (pref. 80/20W20/80) with (C) 2W200 (pref. 5W100)pts.wt. carbon black with an average particle size ≤1,000Å followed by curing and molding. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
