abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound useful as a curing agent for epoxy resin, etc., selectively in high yield by the use of an inexpensive reducing agent under a mild condition, by reducing nitrobenzylamine as a raw material with an alkaline metallic salt of sulfide, etc. n CONSTITUTION: Nitrobenzylamine shown by the formula (NO 2 is in o-, m- or p-position) is reduced with an alkali metallic salt of sulfide such as Na 2 S, K 2 S, etc., or ammonium salt of sulfide such as (NH 4 ) 2 S, etc., in water or a mixture of water and an organic solvent at 20W150°C, and the solvent is directly recovered by vacuum distillation, to give the aimed compound. n EFFECT: Since a reaction is carried out under a basic condition, an operation to isolate an acid salt of the aimed substance is not required, the aimed high- purity compound is obtained only by recovery of a solvent and liquid separation or distillation, a specific reactor is not required, a common reactor is used, so this process is industrially preferable. n USE: A raw material for polyamide, polyimide, etc., or a raw material for an intermediate for agricultural chemicals and drugs. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
