titleOfInvention | Signal processing for autoradiography |
abstract | PURPOSE: To determine base sequency handily, by applying a specified signal processing to a digital signal obtained by optically reading an autoradiograph. n CONSTITUTION: Autoradiographs of separate development trains of respective base-specified DNA synthetic matters of guanine, adenine, thymine and cytosine each imparted a radioactive label are recorded on a photosensitive material 1. The photosensitive material 1 is mounted on a rotary drum 2 of an image reader and scanned in the X-Y way by a light beam 5 from a light source 4. The transmission light is converted into an electrical signal with a photoelectric multiplier 7 and then, into a digital signal through an amplifier 8 and an A/D converter 9. A signal processor 10 performs the determination of scanning direction for signal processing, the detection of sampling points and the identification of the sampling points by comparison sequentially for the digital signal. Thus, individual positional information is obtained. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
