abstract PURPOSE: The titled preparation suitable for liver regeneration of patients having immature liver function or patients having reduced liver function by liver excision or various disorders, containing three specific branched chain amino acids in amino acid preparation. n CONSTITUTION: In an amino acid preparation (more preferably amino acid composition is shown by the table I) containing at least L-isoleucine, L-leucine, L-lysine, L-phenylalanine, L-threonine, L-tryptophan, L-valine, L-alanine, L- arginine, L-aspartic acid, L-glutamic acid, glycine, L-histidine, L-proline and L-serine, the amino acid preparation containing 25W40wt% total amounts of L-isoleucine, L-leucine, and L-valine, 13W20wt% L-arginine, and 13W20wt% total amounts of L-aspartic acid and L-glutamic acid.
