abstract |
PURPOSE:To obtain a grease composition stable at high temperature, having a long lubricating life, containing a metallic salt of an N-substituted tere- or isophthalamic acid and polyurea as a thickening agent. CONSTITUTION:The aimed grease composition containing preferably 3-40wt% based on total amounts of the composition of a thickening agent consisting of (A) 3-97wt% metallic salt of an N-substituted terephthalamic acid or an N-substituted isophthalamic acid and (B) 97-3wt% polyurea based on total amounts of the composition. A sodium N-substituted terephthalamate containing 12-22C aliphatic hydrocarbon group bonded to N may be cited as the fittest example of the component A. EFFECT:Having improved oxidation stability, water resistance, mechanical stability, and extremely long bearing lubricating life. |
