titleOfInvention Granular pesticide
abstract PURPOSE: To provide the titled non-polluting safe preparation, by using an inorganic component of municipal sewage sludge available at a low cost, similar inorganic component for granulation, or other industrial waste as an inorganic component, treating the component at a high temperature to obtain a granular base, and impregnating or coating the granular base with a compound active in control of noxious life. n CONSTITUTION: The inorganic component of sewage sludge and/or similar inorganic component for granulation is calcined at a high temperature (980W1150°C) preferably with a multi-stage jet furnace, etc., and the resultant granular base is incorporated with a compound active to control the noxious life in an amount of preferably 1.0W10wt% to obtain the objective granular pesticide. The incorporation is carried out by impregnating the controlling agent to the base as it is (in the case of a liquid compound) or as a mixture with an organic solvent and/or a surfactant, or by coating the base with a mixture of the controlling compound and water or an organic solvent and a sizing agent and/or a surfactant. n EFFECT: The product has excellent physico-chemical properties, and is applicable safely without causing problems of environmental pollution. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
