titleOfInvention Production of material having high water resistance and water vapor transmission
abstract PURPOSE: In preparing a material having improved waterproofing and water vapor transmission from a wet polyurethane resin film, to obtain the titled material having improved balance of water vapor transmission and waterproofing in use, by adding a specific hydrous silicic acid and a fluorine-containing urethane compound to a solution of the resin. n CONSTITUTION: In obtaining a material having improved eater resistance and water vapor transmission by applying a polyurethane resin solution to a fibrous ground fabric, and coagulating the solution in a wet state, the polyurethane resin solution is blended with 1W30pts.wt. hydrous silicic acid having 1W10μ particle diameter subjected to surface treatment with a hydrophobic group capable of being chemically reacted with a silanol group represented by dimethyldichlorosiloxane, etc., and ≤10pts. wt. internal water repellent consisting of a fluorine-containing urethane compound, applied to a polyester film, subjecting to wet coagulation, to give a polyurethane resin film having high water resistance, water vapor transmission, and air permeability. A two-pack urethane adhesive is applied to this film, which is stuck to the fibrous ground fabric in a semi-dry state, and heat-treated, to give a material having high water resistance and water vapor transmission suitable for various sports wear. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
