abstract PURPOSE:To enable the measurement of a big body to be measured as well with high accuracy by detecting respectively the angle displacement quantity of axis X and axis Y of the guide member for measurement and the distance variation quantity of the guide member for measurement and by correcting the both angle displacement quantities by angle numerical value. CONSTITUTION:The three-dimensional measuring device operates the angle displacement DELTAthetax in the axis X direction, the angle displacement DELTAthetay in the axis Y direction and the distance variation DELTAR with the body 9 to be measured, detected by PGx, PGy and PGr respectively with respective computing elements 15-17 by abutting a probe 8 to the body 9 to be measured and outputs the angle thetaxi in the axis X direction, the angle thetayi in the axis Y direction and the distance R with the body 9 to be measured. In this case, due to the deflection errors by the gravity of the guide member for distance measurement being able to be corrected by the measured angle, the length of the guide member may be extended and the large body to be measured can be measured with high accuracy as well.
