abstract PURPOSE: A solution containing a water-soluble alkali salt of polysiloxane, alcohol and water in a specific proportion is subjected to ion exchange to give the titled compound which can dissolve in colloidal solutions and organic solvents without gelling. n CONSTITUTION: 5W20wt% of a water-soluble alkali salt such as Na salt of a polysiloxane of the formula: RSiO 3/2 (R is 1W4C alkyl, 2W4C alkenyl, phenyl), 30W90wt% of an alcohol of the formula: R'OH (R' is 1W4C alkyl) such as methanol and 5W50wt% of water are mixed and the resultant solution is subjected to ion exchange with a strong acid cation exchange resin or weak basic anion exchange resin to give the objective compound. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
