titleOfInvention Phenylpiperazine derivative
abstract NEW MATERIAL:The phenylpiperazine derivative of formula I (R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are independently 1W3C alkyl; R 1 and R 2 may together form a 1W3C alkylene; X is CO or SO 2 ) or its acid addition salt. n EXAMPLE: 3-[2-[4-(2-Methoxyphenyl)-1-piperazinyl]ethyl]-6,7-trimethylenedioxy-1- methyl-2,4(1H,3H)quinazolinedione. n USE: The compound exhibits hypotensive activity and is useful as a medicinal drug. It is effective at a low dose by oral administration, develops its drug action rapidly, and continues the activity. It has weak acute toxicity and extremely high safety. n PREPARATION: The compound of formula I can be produced by converting the phenylpiperazine derivative of formula II to a metal salt such as sodium salt with a metal hydride in an inert solvent such as dimethylformamide, and reacting the product with an alkyl halide at a temperature between room temperature and 150°C. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
