titleOfInvention Production of polyester
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a polymer suitable as tire cored without using a vacuum device and high power for stirring and carrying out solid-phase polymerization, by reacting an aromatic dicarboxylic acid (alkyl ester) with a glycol, and doing polycondensation in a specific heating medium. n CONSTITUTION: (A) An aromatic dicarboxylic acid (alkyl ester) (e.g., terephthalic acid, etc.) and (B) a glycol such as ethylene glycol, etc. are esterified or subjected to ester exchange reaction to give an oligomer, which is subjected to polycondensation in one or more heating mediums of paraffins or compounds shown by the formula I (A 1 and A l are phenyl group or 5W20C cycloalkyl; A 2 WA l-1 are phenylene, or 5W20C cycloalkylene; l is 2W5) or formula II (R 1 and R 2 are H, 1W20C alkyl, n and m are 0W5) preferably in the presence of a catalyst at normal pressure or under reduced pressure or under pressure at 220W300°C, to give the aimed polymer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
