titleOfInvention Electrically conductive resin composition
abstract PURPOSE: To provide the titled compsn. having excellent electrical conductivity, surface appearance, moldability and mechanical properties, consisting of a thermoplastic resin, a decabromodiphenyl flame retarder, a flame retardance synergist and a bundled stainless steel fiber. n CONSTITUTION: 1,000W50,000 stainless steel fibers having a diameter of 2W20μ and contg. 1W20wt% vinyl acetate copolymer deposited thereon are bundled together and then cut into pieces of 2.5W7.5mm in length to obtain a bundled stainless steel fiber (A). 0W120pts.wt. decabromodiphenyl flame retarder (e.g. decabromodiphenyl ether) and 0W40pts.wt. flame retardance synergist (e.g. Sb 2 O 3 ) are mixed with 100pts.wt. thermoplastic resin (e.g. ABS resin). The mixture is pelletized. 1W15pts.wt. component A is melt-kneaded with 100pts.wt. pellet so that the average fiber length is kept 0.5W2.0mm. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
