titleOfInvention Production of stable solution for antimicrobial processing
abstract PURPOSE: The titled processing solution providing fiber products with durability, having stability even at high temperature free from gelatinization, etc., obtained by adding chlorhexidine to a polymer solution obtained by copolymerizing a polyalkylene glycol (meth)acrylate, etc., with an acidic groupcontaining polymerizable monomer. n CONSTITUTION: A polyalkylene glycol (meth)acrylate or its alkyl ether, or alkyl ester is copolymerized with an acidic group-containing polymerizable monomer (e.g., acrylic acid, 3-butent-1,2,3-tricarboxylic acid, etc.), and, if necessary, another vinyl monomer in a mixed solvent of water and a water-soluble organic solvent (e.g., methyl Cellosolve, methanol, etc.) to give a polymer solution, to which chlorhexidine is added to give the aimed processing solution. Since chlorhexidine is slightly soluble powder, preferably it is dissolved in a water-soluble solvent to dissolve chlorhexidine and added to the polymer solution. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
