titleOfInvention | Concentration of microbial strain |
abstract | PURPOSE: To improve the concentration ratio of a mutant strain requiring intermediate metabolite, by culturing a mutated bacterial strain in a penicillin- containing medium for a period longer than the cell division time of the strain in a culture system and shorter than twice of the cell division time. n CONSTITUTION: The culture of a mutated bacterial strain in a minimum medium for microorganism added with penicillin is carried out for a period longer than the cell division time of the strain in said culture system and shorter than twice of the cell division time (preferably about 30minW1hr after the elaspe of the cell division time). The cells are collected and washed, and the same operation is repeated several times (e.g. 3W10 times). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
