titleOfInvention Foaming aerosol composition
abstract PURPOSE:To provide an aerosol compsn. which little corrodes containers, has an excellent long-term stability and gives good foam, containing a basic amino acid. CONSTITUTION:A basic amino acid is incorporated in a foaming aerosol compsn. Examples of the basic amino acids are L-arginine, L-lysine and L-histidine. The compsn. contains usually an O/W emulsion compsn. as a stock soln. and a propellant for foaming. The oil component of the O/W emulsion compsn. is used in a quantity of pref. 1-10wt% based on that of the aerosol compsn. Examples of the propellants are flon 12, flon 114 and liquefied petroleum gas. When a 12-22C satd. prim. alcohol and a cationic surfactant of the formula are used as the O/W emulsion compsn., the use of the basic amino acid is very effective.
