NEW MATERIAL:The piperidine derivative of formula I (R 1 is univalent or bivalent carboxylic acid residue; R 2 is H, 1W3C alkyl or 1W18C acyl; l is 1W3; n is 1 or 2). n EXAMPLE: N,N-bis(2, 2, 6, 6-tetramethyl-4-piperidinyloxycarbonylmemethyl)octana mide. n USE: Stabilizer for organic substance. It exhibits excellent effect to prevent the light-deterioration of organic substances, e.g. synthetic resins such as low-density polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene terephthalate, etc., and paints such as oil-based cellulosic derivative, a synthetic resin paint, etc. n PREPARATION: The compound of formula I can be prepared e.g. by reacting the iminodialkanoic acid derivative of formula II (R 3 is 1W4C alkyl) with the piperidinol derivative of formula III in the absence of solvent or in a solvent such as toluene, in the presence of a basic catalyst such as potassium t-butoxide, etc. at 0W200°C. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
