PURPOSE: To obtain a coated medicinal drug effective to keep a sublimable drug stably for a long period preventing the sublimation of the sublimable drug, by coating a sublimable drug with a coating agent containing a cyclodextrin. n CONSTITUTION: A coated medicinal drug can be prepared by coating a sublimable drug (e.g. menthoal, ethenzamide, cyclandelate, anthracene, etc.) with a coating agent containing a cyclodextrin. The cyclodextrin is α-, β- or γ-cyclodextrin, tri-O-methyl-cyclodextrin, etc. The amount of cyclodextrin is preferably about 3W40wt% based on the coating agent and about 3W600wt% based on the sublimable drug. When 5-methyl-2-(1-methylcyclohexyl)-4- oxazoleacetic acid is used as the sublimable drug, it can be administered orally and safely as a remedy for diabetes. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
