abstract PURPOSE:To make possible the simple and sure discovery of the abnormal cell propagation in the specific position of a living body such as cancer, malignant tumor or hepatitis by measuring the quantity of the free amino acid, more particularly the quantity of proline and alginine. CONSTITUTION:The P/A ratio (ratio of proline quantity/alginine quantity) of the serum free amino acid of the cancer, malignant tumor, hepatitics, etc., for example, the cancer patient indicates the extremely high numerical value as compared to the same ratio of a healthy person when the quantity of the amino acid, more particularly the quantity of the alginine in the blood of the patient to be diagnosed is measured. The early discovery of not only the cancer but also the disease in which the cells propagate abnormally in the specific section of the living body is thus made possible and the easy and exact discovery of the progressing condition thereof is made possible by measuring the above-mentioned quantity. This method is extremely useful for group examination, etc.
