titleOfInvention 4-substituted-5-alkenylidene-2-cyclopentenone and its preparation
abstract NEW MATERIAL:The 4-substituted-5-alkenylidene-2-cyclopentenone compound of formula I (R 1 is 1W10C alkyl; R 2 is 1W10C substituted or unsubstituted alkyl; R 3 is H or OH-protecting group). n EXAMPLE: 4-(ω-Hydroxy-2-heptenyl)-5-(4-hydroxy-2-octenylidene)--2-cyclopentenone. n USE: Carcinostatic agent and antiviral agent. n PREPARATION: The compound of formula I can be prepared by (1) converting the compound of formula II to compound of formula III by the reductive dissociation reaction with preferably Raney-nickel, (2) subjecting the compound of formula III to dissociation reaction in the presence of a base such a 1,5- diazabicyclo[5,4,0]- undecene-5, and (3) dehydrating the resultant compound of formula IV preferably in the presence of cuprous chloride and N,N'- dicyclohexylcarbodiimide. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
