NEW MATERIAL:The hydroxyphenylalkanol derivative of formula I (R 1 is H, lower alkyl, lower hydroxyalkyl, amino, or lower acylamino; A is 4W19C straight or branched-chain alkylene). n EXAMPLE: 11-(3-Amino-4-hydroxyphenyl)undecanol hydrochloride. n USE: Useful as a drug especially as an SRS-A suppressing agent and its intermediate. For example, the agent is effective for the prevention and remedy of bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis, uriticaria, ischemic cardiopathy, inflammation, etc. n PREPARATION: The compound of formula I an be prepared e.g. by reducing the disubstituted-phenyl alkyl ketone or disubstituted-phenyl alkanol of formula II. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
