PURPOSE: To provide the titled compsn. having excellent environmental stress- crack resistance and good thermal stability, by blending a saponified olefin/fatty acid vinyl ester copolymer with a rubber-contg. styrene resin. n CONSTITUTION: A saponified product [solubility parameter; 8.8W12 (cal/cc) 1/2 ] of a copolymer of an olefin monomer and a fatty acid vinyl monomer (e.g. ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer) is used. Said copolymer may contain other copolymerizable vinyl monomer (e.g. styrene) unit and the degree of saponification may not be 100%. 1W45pts.wt. said copolymer is melt-kneaded with 100pts. wt. rubber-contg. resin (e.g. a graft polymer obtd. by polymerizing a styrene monomer in the presence of a rubber component) to obtain a thermoplastic resin compsn. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
