PURPOSE: To provide a water based ink for ink jet recording, which has excellent properties such as shelf stability, ejection stability and ejection response, containing a dye having a specified chemical formula, a wetting agent and additives. n CONSTITUTION: A water-soluble dye of formula I [wherein R 1 is a group of formula II (wherein R 4 is alkyl, hydroxylalkyl); R 2 is H, alkyl, acetyl, unsubstituted or substd. benzoyl, unsubstituted or substd. benzenesulfonyl, substd. 1,3,5-triazine ring; R 3 is H, alkyl, alkoxy, halogen, sulfo group; n is 1, 2, 3; M is H or a cation such as lithium, sodium, potassium or org. amine] such as a compd. of formula III, a wetting agent and other additives are blended together to obtain the desired water based ink. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
