titleOfInvention | Preparation of soil fungicide |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a soil fungicide suppressing acidic microorganisms as infectious microorganisms, protecting growth of crops, by blending slaked lime as a base with sodium bicarbonate, adding further phenolphthalein so that the pH of soil is always kept alkali. n CONSTITUTION: Slake lime as a base is blended with sodium bicarbonate and potassium bicarbonate to make soil alkali and to prevent occurrence of acidic microorganisms, the blend is mixed with boric acid for sterilizing action and pH adjusting action, further with phenolphthalein, to give a soil fungicide capable of observing pH of soil. pH of the soil can be observed by applying the fungicide to soil, dispersing the soil in water, watching color of the supernatant liquid, an application amount of it to soil and supply period to soil can be determined, pH of soil can be always kept alkali, alkaline microorganisms such as ray fungus, etc. are preferentially grown, acidic microorganisms as infectious microorganisms are suppressed, and infectious blights are prevented to aim at sound growth of crops. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
