titleOfInvention | Production of fluorescent material |
abstract | PURPOSE: To produce a Ce-doped rare earth metal oxyhalide fluorescent material, emitting high-intensity accelerated phosphorescence by the excitation with electromagnetic wave after irradiation of X-ray, by adding a tetrafluoroboric acid compound to a mixture of the raw materials of the fluorescent material (or its heat-treated product), and calcining the mixture. n CONSTITUTION: A mixture of the raw materials of a fluorescent material, e.g. Y 2 O 5 , La 2 O 3 , etc., a halogen donor such as Cl, and a Ce compound etc. or a product obtained by the heat-treatment of the above mixture at 300W500°C, is incorporated with preferably 0.1W30wt% tetrafluoroboric acid compound (preferably NaBF 4 , etc.). The obtained composition is filled in a heat-resistant vessel such as quartz boat, and calcined preferably at 1050W2,000°C for 1W3hr in a weakly reducingWneutral atmosphere to obtain the objective fluorescent material represented by the composition formula LnOX:xCe (Ln is Y, La, Gd or Lu; X is Cl, Br or I; 0<x≤0.1). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
