abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I (R 1 is methyl or ethyl). n EXAMPLE: O-Ethyl S,S-di-tert-butyl trithiophosphate. n USE: A controlling agent against soil injurious insects, e.g. paddy fields, upland fields, orchards, pastures, tea fields, mulberry fields, etc. n PREPARATION: A dithiolphosphoric ester of formula II, e.g. O-ethyl S,S-di-tert- butyl dithiolphosphate, is reacted with a 1,3-dithia-3,4-diphosphetane-2,4-disulfide of formula III (R 2 is lower alkyl, phenyl, thiophene, phenyl substituted by halogen, etc.), e.g. 2,4-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,3-dithia-2,4-diphosphetane-2,4-disulfide, in a solvent, e.g. toluene, at 80W120°C for 30minW10hr. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
