abstract | PURPOSE: The titled adhesive material free from damage to dental pulp, not requiring pretreatment, having improved bonding strength, comprising a copolymer of a specific unsaturated carboxylic acid and a specified vinyl compound or a hydrolyzed copolymer of it and an organic titanate as main components. n CONSTITUTION: An adhesive material comprising (A) a copolymer of one or more unsaturated carboxylic acids selected from fumaric acid, itaconic acid, its ester, and itaconic anhydride and a radically copolymerizable vinyl compound containing a hydrophilic group and (B) an organic titanate as main components, containing preferably 0.02W2.0mol component B based on 1mol unsaturated carboxylic acid in the component A. the adhesive is cured in the oral cavity even under a severe condition of 100% humidity, bonds firmly a restorative dental material of composite resin to ebur dentis.
