titleOfInvention | Thermal recording material |
abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material free of lowering of density even when being brought into contact with oils or fats, a polyvinyl chloride film or the like, by using a specified fluoran compound and a specified phenolic compound in combination as color forming components in a thermal color forming layer. CONSTITUTION:A fluoran compound of formula I , wherein each of R1 and R2 is a 1-6C alkyl group, R3 is a 1-2C alkyl group, and n is 0 or 1, and a phenolic compound of formula II, wherein R is an alkylene group having at least one hydroxyl group, are applied to a base such as a paper and a plastic film together with a binder, a heat-fusible substance and auxiliary additives which are ordinarily used, followed by drying to obtain a thermal recording material. The leuco dye and the color developer may be supported on separate bases to obtain a thermal transfer type thermal recording material. |
