PURPOSE: To provide a styrene resin composition resistant to the lowering of the thermal stability caused by the addition of a halogen-containing flame- retardant, by adding an ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid metal salt to the styrene resin. n CONSTITUTION: A styrene resin composition containing a halogen-containing flame-retardant is compounded with an ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid metal salt of formula (M is bivalent metal). The amount of the halogen-containing flame-retardant is 5W35pts.(wt.) per 100pts. of the styrene resin, and that of the ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid metal salt is 0.5W50pts., preferably 1W20pts. per 100pts. of the flame retardant. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
