PURPOSE: Powder or granule of silicone linked to organometallic compound, being blended with a resin, coating compound, rubber, etc. to improve characteristics of them, obtained by using a gelatinous substance prepared by hydrolyzing an organo halogenated silane and an organometallic crosslinking agent. n CONSTITUTION: A gelatinous substance obtained by hydrolyzing an organo halogenated silane (e.g., methyltrichlorosilane) is dissolved in an alkali aqueous solution, an organometallic crosslinking agent [e.g., isopropyltri(dioctylpyrophosphate) titanate] is added to the solution, and an acidifying agent (e.g., sulfuric acid) is added to it. Polycondensation is carried out, agglomerated cake is separated by filtration, washed with water, dried and ground. The powder or granule is used as a resin, coating compound, adhesive, etc., thixotropic properties, water resistance, electrical properties, and corrosion resistance effect are improved, the powder or granule has increasing effect on oil resistance and adhesiveness of nitrile rubber, and is usable as a luster adjustor for acrylic coating compound, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio |
