abstract PURPOSE: A herbicide for paddy field containing an α-methyl-ethylphenylacetic acid anilide compound and a specific pyrazole compound, showing excellent synergistic action, widened herbicidal spectrum and period of application width, and prolonged residual effect period. n CONSTITUTION: The titled herbicide obtained by blending (A) 1pt.wt. compound shown by the formula (R is lower alkyl), a herbicide for paddy field at early stage being used in any period up to initial period of occurrence of weeds, showing securely herbicidal effect, with (B) 0.3W8pts.wt., especially 0.5W5pts.wt. 1,3- dimethyl-4-(2,4-dichlorobenzoyl)-5-phenacyloxypyrazole and/or 1,3-dimethyl-4-(2,4- dichlorobenzoyl)-5-(p-trisulfonyloxy)pyrazole, a herbicide of photosynthesis inhibition type, having a narrow period of application width, requiring a relatively large amount of application. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
