abstract PURPOSE: To provide a sterilizing disinfectant containing stabilized chlorine dioxide as an active component, having deodorizing, disinfecting, sterilizing and antiseptic effect, and applied to a medical remedying tool or general hygienic tool by adding a proper amount of the agent thereto. n CONSTITUTION: In the deodorization, disinfection, sterilization or anntiseptic treatment of a medical remedying tool or general hygienic tool, stabilized chlorine dioxide (ClO 2 ) is added in the form of aqueous solution, powder, fine granule, or jelly, to the disinfection liquid such as water for the above treatment at a proper concentration or dose, and is used as the sterilizing disinfectant for the above tools or apparatuses. Stabilized chlorine dioxide exhibits excellent effect for the cleaning of water or maintenance of the freshness of water as a strong oxidizing agent, and is also effective to eliminate the odor from its origin.
